Saluting 50 Years of Motoring Excellence

UMW Toyota Motor sustains third quarter momentum by strengthening the Toyota ownership experience

UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) recorded over 24,500 units in total sales from July to September 2026, bringing year-to-date sales to more than 60,800 units. The third quarter reflected UMWT’s continued focus on strengthening the Toyota ownership experience through greater convenience, digital engagement and wider mobility access.

As Malaysia’s automotive market grows to evolve with more mobility options, stronger interest in electrified vehicles and rising expectations for customer experience, UMWT remains committed to delivering value beyond the point of purchase. This includes making ownership simpler, improving access to mobility-related services and supporting customers with solutions that are relevant to how they live, drive and maintain their vehicles.

“Our third quarter performance reflects the continued trust Malaysians place in Toyota and the strength of the ownership experience we have built over the years. As the market evolves, our focus remains clear. We want every customer to feel confident in their choice, supported in their journey, and assured that Toyota delivers value long after they leave the showroom. We are strengthening the Toyota experience around reliability, convenience and customer confidence, which matter most to our customers,” said Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor.

To support this, the Toyota MY App campaign resumed from 14 September to 31 December 2026 to encourage greater app usage and service bookings. Customers will receive 500 Loyal-T Points upon Toyota MY App registration and 500 Loyal-T Points for each service booking made through the app when sending their vehicle for servicing. The campaign applies to both new and existing app users.

Beyond digital engagement, UMWT is also strengthening practical access to electrified mobility through its Multi-Pathway approach. In partnership with chargEV and JomCharge, UMWT is expanding public EV charging access across Toyota and Lexus locations nationwide, with 42 public EV charging points across 21 sites scheduled for phased rollout in the first half of 2027. This comprises 38 charging points across 19 locations under chargEV and 4 charging points across 2 JomCharge locations. To date, 7 sites have been completed, with the balance to follow in stages towards the full network target. Open to all EVs, the charging points provide EV drivers with greater access at familiar Toyota and Lexus locations, with participating sites discoverable through the respective apps.

These efforts are reflected in how UMWT improves the way customers engage with Toyota, from service booking to wider mobility access that adds value to everyday ownership.
